How long does it take phone companies to update their LERG?

i recently got a new phone thru a new provider, and whenever i try calling my new number, from my cell phone, i get an error. I called the company, and they escalated it to their engineers. All they need to do is update their LERG with the new NPA-NXX routing and homing information, but it's been 3 days so far.... how long does this usually take?

LERG?!

A document issued by Telcordia that is used to identify NPA-NXX routing and homing information, as well as network element and equipment designation. It contains a listing of local routing data such as destination codes, switching entities, rate centers and locality information by LATA.

Basically a 'routing map' for phone number areacode-exchange info... think of it as DNS for a phone company 😉

LATA = A geographic area within a telephone company's franchised territory for the purpose of defining the area within which a telephone company may offer services.
