I bought it on 12/3 and the online tracking thing says it'll ship on 12/20. To add to this nuisance, the website doesn't give you an estimated ship date until AFTER you pay and fill out a shipping address. I'm leaving for Christmas break in four days - had I put in my school address instead of home address for shipping, I'd be screwed.
Bastards. I hope the wait is worth it.

UPDATE: You guys were right - the laptop was shipped today (instead of the 20th) so I'm expecting it on Thursday. Yay! My finals end on Thursday so I can play with the new toy
UPDATE: My laptop has disappeared into a black hole. Lenovo says they shipped it, but UPS has no idea where the package is. I did not think it was possible for UPS to not know where a package is. After repeated calls to Lenovo and UPS on Friday/Saturday, I was promised more information and a new tracking number by Monday.
I have a feeling I'll have to call Lenovo again and make a ruckus before they do anything
UPDATE: Turns out I'm not the only guy facing this problem. Now I'm thinking about canceling my order.

UPDATE: Spoke to a guy at Lenovo who confirmed that my laptop hasn't shipped, and that it wasn't gonna ship until after Christmas.

Spoke with a LEVEL 2 rep @ Lenovo who was WELL AWARE of the issue. Apparently the tracking #'s are wrong because the addresses associated with them are/were incorrect and they had to PULL THE ENTIRE SHIPMENT from shipping. It's 500 X series units that are delayed. THEY HAVE NOT SHIPPED! Anyone who says so is incorrect. They are still in China and are working with UPS in applying new tracking #'s with the correct addresses to the packages. They told me this will be completed by Monday the 24th of December and they should all ship out by a few days after Christmas. WHAT A LOAD OF ****!
Pathetic! Not even an apology. I even asked why didn't you e-mail the other 500 or so people about this and why are they left in limbo? I've spent hours on the phone trying to find out the truth to this situation and nobody has done a damn thing to assist me. I had to do all the calling and follow up. My own damn rep hasn't returned any of my 5 calls and voicemails.
