how long does it take for money to credited to you after you return something?

I returned something to best buy yesterday, how long should it be before my account is credited? (used a debit card)?

they sure take it out quick enough, but putting it back.... days. Plenty of days.

It varies from merchant to merchant but I'd say the average is around 2-3 business. As always YMMV.
