How long does it take for mail from east coast to reach west coast?

Expecting a money order from someone who lives on the east coast, I live in Nevada. He claimed to have sent it last Friday, I still havent received it. I would assume it takes no longer than 3-4 days to send mail across the country.

In theory one day for 1st class letters. But I've had stuff take a week or more.

2-3 days for first class mail which is all sent via air

2 if it is large city to large city, add a day if either end is rural

Can you cancel money orders? Lets say the original money order was lost and the person who sent it has the receipt. Can that person cancel it and get a new money order?

Ask the post office. (Or whoever made out the money order.)
Or ask your friend on the east coast.
