It only lasts fourish days for me. I found it easier to get through it once than to shave it and have to deal with it again. Probably because I'm rather lazy when it comes to shaving.

Wow...for me, it's usually at least a week...I'm going through it right now. I shaved of my beard just before we went to Maui...I miss it, so I'm growing it back.

Yup. But come to think of it, I haven't been itchy in a long time. I trim with clippers and don't bother with a razor.

Same. Everytime I use a razor I get a rash, no pun intended.

It depends on how fast you grow facial hair. Mine will still itch every once and a while

My beard doesn't itch at all...I guess cuz I am Indian and we are naturally hairy people.

Shampoo with mint in it, or just something simple like Head & Shoulders.

<-10 weeks in

Agreed. Get some tea-tree oil shampoo. It will help with the irritation. Also, get a beard comb if you can and comb it out after you shower. It will help you reduce the number of ingrown hairs.

I usually go one day where it really itches, about one week after a shave. After that my bear won't itch, until I hit about 2-3 weeks, then it'll itch for another day, sometimes two.

I find that when it's itching, it's better to rub your flat palm on your cheek rather than to actually scratch it with your fingers - that always irritates my skin a lot worse.

Hang in there! It's worth it for your Man Card! :D

You had an awesome beard, I remember that picture... Just get through the initial stage, you'll love the beard once it grows past the itchy stage.

Also, I made the mistake of shaving it before, learn to trim it down, and always keep a beard.
