Are you letting the State figure out, if your due a refund?

If you owe money, then its smart to wait till April;

If you are expecting a refund, it will take a little longer, because of the
last minute rush.

PSA, next year do the taxes in March, or earlier.
I sent my taxes in in Feb, got my refund in March.

What do you mean, figure it out? I filled out all the paperwork via TurboTax. I put in a wrong number in the birthday field when I submitted my Federal/States online, which got it reject the first time. I fixed the number and re-submitted; the Federals went through but I discovered you only get one chance with State, otherwise you have to mail it in. So I printed it out with the number correction and mailed it in. And yeah, I will definately do it earlier next year :)

On paper forms, at least in the old days, LOL,
I could just sign the form, along with my attached W2's, and let the Tax Department
employees do the number crunching.

If you were not good at math this was a safe way of doing
the tax return.

With TurboTax, etc. it is a lot easier nowadays. :thumbsup:

No kidding! This was my first year of doing taxes and I had a lot to put on it - two jobs, partial out-of-state, etc., but it was cake with TurboTax. I will definately be buying it next year :thumbsup:
