How long can you keep meat frozen before it goes bad to the point that if you ate it you'd get food poisoning?

Depending on the meat and how you store it, sometimes up to several months, sometimes up to a year.

as long as the power doesn't go out. or as long as you aren;t intorducing extreme-temperature-tolerant bacteria into your freezer... like from antarctica

Technically, if you heat something up enough, won't all of the built up bacteria die? Sure, it will taste like crap, but it won't make you sick. That would mean you could store it forever.

Source?

You can store it longer than this, but you have to worry about the taste of it. For example, if you Vaccuum seal the meat, it will taste better after being stored compared to meat stored in just a bag, especially over long periods of time.

Google it for sources.

How cold is your freezer? Depending on the temperature, you could store your meat for thousands of years.

What about any type of frozen food like say frozen pizza. How long are those good for? I just ate some frozen dumplings that you can buy from the store. I think they're over two or three months old and I'm worried I'm going to get food poisoning.

There wasn't one on the package that I could find. Does that mean it's good indefinately?

If it was in a *freezer*, and it was *frozen* for that entire duration... you will be perfectly fine.

Yes, it's been frozen for its entirety. Thank you for calming my food poisoning scare.

Meat can last a very long time as previously stated. Bread is usually best used within 30ish days, other products vary. Most of the time it's not food poisoning you need to worry about, but nasty taste.

unfotuantly no, the bacteria leave all kinds of toxic chemicals behind.
