I never get Azureus to work correctly. Horribly BT client in IMO. For me, its BitLord or BitSpirit.

Don't use Safepeer and it will only take 3-4 seconds to load.
Who are you trying to block, anyway? It's not like the FBI/MPAA is on your tracker...

Azerous is always superfast but it slows down my internet connection for anything else to a crawl.

I got two 'cease and desist' letters before I started using Safepeer (both for downloading TV shows). Since I started using it, I got none.

Safepeer does make Azureus take about 1 minute to load on my linux box, though. But, it's only a 900mhz Athlon.

Pretty quick, but if I have very large (>4Gb) torrents that are not complete, then it does take a while to start up. Presumably it's doing some form of checking on those files. *shrug*

SafePeer takes 11ty years to load because it has to check the server for and obtain a new blocklist. The server is slow as goatballs. IIRC, you can set an option that causes it to sync up the list AFTER Azureus is done loading.
