how long does an msi rma take?

I just dropped my dead motherboard off at msi's depot. they told me that they don't have stock of my particular board so I will have to wait.

do any of you have rma experience with msi?

I need my board asap and I might buy a new computer if it will take too long.

When I shipped them a video card a few months ago it took about 3 weeks including shipping both ways. No idea if they had stock or that caused a delay.

3 weeks is too long. When I rma'ed with ocz they gave me a new drive on the spot.

Buyer beware - msi's motherboards suck. To make matters worse, their rmas are slow.

I'm not complaining, figure close to 2 of the 3 weeks was shipping. Haven't bought a MSI motherboard in years, saw no reason to.

I appreciate that larry but if I do anything i'm going to upgrade rather than downgrading.

Do you by chance need an opteron 144 for the rig?
