How long does a USPS Insurance Claim take??

I sent a CPU, heatsink and mobo insured for $250, and when my friend got it, the thinkg dosent work, the mobo turns on, but the CPU is *dead* dosen't even turn warm. How long does it take to get my money from a Unsurance Claim?

I may not be correct but I think you are going to have to prove that USPS Damaged it.

Unless theres is physical damage to the chip it is going to be rather hard to do that. I mean if you packed it well enough I don't think there is much that USPS could have done to fry a CPU.

yea there is phsychal damage, its dosent have the heatplate and stuff, its just the bare slotA cpu whci was diredct core mounted to the heatsink, the core has a little chip on it now, and it worked perfect before i sent it out to him.

So I take it you have alread filled out the necessary paper work?

I bet if you call 1-800-ASK-USPS they can tell you an average time it takes.
