How long do you think until every single football game is off the air?

That would be a good thing for me so I don't miss out on normal shows and never watch those channels even more. :p

I was thinking the same thing earlier today when I saw an article about this year bowls games forcasting.

I think all of the BCS bowls games (the big 5) are with ESPN except one on ABC (Rose). Fox and CBS will only show 1 game each IIRC.

Don't forget that Monday Night Football used to be on ABC but now is on ESPN.

The NFL Network is godawful for broadcast. Did you watch tonight? Pathetic. Roger Goodell should be ashamed of himself....but of course he won't, he will be super proud of his "achievement ".

There is... they screw up with the family guy / american dad times often.

Not to mention often screw up the various sunday and monday show times and cause issues with them and lead to cancellations because of it as has happened many times.

Meh I don't even notice not getting the Thursday night game. It's an additional game that you either pay for or you don't. I've chosen not to.

I was able to watch because I'm in the NY area. Your words are an understatement. It was really REALLY bad. But that one blonde was nice

ABC and ESPN are the same company.

NBC owns the Golf Channel, and Versus is essentially NBC Sports.

Yes, but Sunday Night Football used to be on ESPN and is now on NBC, so that's a wash.

FOX and CBS both have VERY lucrative deals with the NFL that aren't going away any time soon.

And onto NFL Network or ESPN?

Damn buncha greedy bastages.

I love football but it belongs on sports channels

how many years has it been obvious that 3 hours is not enough time for a FB game? atleast a decade, yet they still schedule them 3 hours apart and dont take you to your game when the previous runs over

and it fucks up fox sunday night tv and cbs

or you could stop being a cheap bastard and subscribe to basic cable.

Some of us already subscribe and have the HD box on our 56" TV but occasionally want to watch HD football on the 101" theater screen in our basement home theater room but our service provider blocked the HD channels we used to be able to get with our 3rd party HD DVR (bought for $5 3 years ago) and don't want to have to pay $11/mo for another HD box

And the NFL network can go eff themselves - I am not buying the NFL network package for their games

I'm poor, so no.

And after basics, you'll have to subscribe to NFL networks too?

But the whole point is that the football games are broadcast so they can generate revenues from ads, as they reach a broader audience. Until some wise ass thought "Hey, we can make them pay to watch, AND make them watch the ads, too!" Brilliant!

A) I get the NFL Network. If you were a "fan" you would too.
B) Packers are on Fox. You don't need anything else. The rest is akin to High School Football.
