I've had my FIC motherboard and Athlon Thunderbird 1.4Ghz for about four years now, but my 9200 is only two years old and my WD 40GB is three years old. Despite that it still plays most games great.

EDIT: Oh, and I upgraded from 128MB to 512MB of PC2100 two years ago as well.

Until recently I ran a p4@1.4 with a geforce2 as my main desktop system but it's sorta being relegated to server duty as sufficient *nix drivers come out for my p4@2.8 machine which can now become the workstation. I find that the crappier my video card is, the less likely I am to be tempted to waste time with games 😛
