How long do you have to dispute an Amazon purchase?

I know with Ebay after a certain amount of days (45?) you are out of luck. I have an Amazon order that is going on a few months now, it was suppose to arrive May 3rd but often times it goes a month over so I tend to give more time to give the seller benefit of doubt, but I'm just wondering how long I have if there is a limit, before I file a claim. I sent the seller a message and didn't get a response. I'm not in a hurry to get the item but I don't want to wait too long and then not be able to get money back, either.

Ebay has 30 day dispute window but if you pay with paypal you have 180 days to make a claim.

With Amazon I'm not sure, I've never had to file an A-to-Z claim, but you have 120 days to file a dispute with your credit card company. If you haven't received an item within a few weeks and the seller is not responsive you should file a claim right away.

Whats the reputation of the seller? So it's been about 15 days late for delivery and no response/tracking info? I'd be doing a dispute by now.

I finally got a response now, with tracking number. It looks like it's stuck in customs. Tracking shows it's not in the system though, like it's a valid tracking number but not showing up. Seller said he'll go check what's up. I guess I'll give them a bit more benefit of doubt. I've had Amazon orders take over 6 months and it's only been 2 months, it's just that it's past the ETR now so was starting to worry.

It's odd though since customs is usually not an issue for stuff from China. Or at least I assume that's where it's coming from.

I've had similar issues with Customs. You'll probably get it but you're just an eensy bit more nationalistic now.

Almost all of the designer drugs these days come from China.

Oh China. Had a similar issue when I bought a cheap 10" Android Tablet. Barely got a tracking#, item showed up a few weeks after ETA.
Never had a problem with shipped items from S.Korea.
