My MX700 lasts pretty long but it doesn't charge until the battery is very low which pisses me off because it usually runs of of juice when I need it most...

Got a Belkin wireless optical mouse for $5 open box deal @ PC Club. It runs ~3months on a set of 2AA's and has a pretty impressive range!

Yeah, I have bought some of the lower end combos and the batteries die within a couple of days. My Microsoft intelli set lasts for at least 5 months or so. Here?s what I?ve determined, the lower end sets are constantly sending signal or receiving signals from other interferences. I often come to my GF's computer finding a right click activity or it mysteriously waking from the scr.

Also, i had a customer wanting wireless for their employees and did not want to pay, so i offered up 10 of these cheap sets. Bad mistake. Everyone was controlling everyone?s mouse and keyboard. It was totally chaotic. So i decided to leave two in play, the manager?s office and the warehouse station; literally 100 feet apart with walls in between, and no way, they were still affecting each other. So not only are they constantly on, they give off some serious "wattage".

My MX900 lasts for about a week between charges if I leave it off its' stand...I'm on my computer quite a lot so it isn't usually sitting in standby mode for long...But more recently I have started just chucking it on it's charging pod thingy if I'm leaving for any more than about 30 mins....

I use the Wireless MS Optical Intellimouse and like the others posted my batteries last for 4 months at least, with lots of usage too. Gresat Mouse IMO.

On my main rig I have the MS Intellimouse/keyboard combo and I am on the first set of batteries still, and I bought it back in October. So that is 9 months of heavy use 6+ hours a day. I can still use the mouse from over eight feet away. It's the best $90 I ever spent to get a quality keyboard and mouse.

My MX700 lasts approximately 3 days, but I put it on the charger every night, so I haven't actually drained it in about a year. :)

Very solid mouse, had it for almost 2 years. Oldest part of this system, in fact. The pain is rubbing off.

rechageable batteries are your friend. my intellimouse can kill Ni-MH batteries in about 1-1.5 mos. I play lots of games though.

Infinately to be honest.

I take my mouse off its cradle in the morning, use it throughout the day and put it on the cradle when I go to bed.

Even if Im gaming all day (very rare these days) it never hits the red light.

My batteries last about a month and 1/2. I'm using the mouse from the Logitech Elite Cordless Duo. It's similar to the LX-whatever set.

I'm using a Compaq cordless combo that runs on AAs. I get a little over a month on the mouse, and I have yet to replace the keyboard batteries.
