How long do shocks last?

I am trying to justify getting a lift on my car by thinking that i'll have to replace the shocks soon anyway. my car has 73,000 miles. am i justified?

seriously though, from what I've seen, they can last from 60-100k depending on how much life you squeeze out of them/how good they are. I'd say go for it if you want, you'll feel a vast improvement in firmness.

I would definetly get shocks to fit your application. The stock shocks after 73,000 miles will not care too much for the added lift. Just my .02 cents.

how much lift are you looking at getting?

just 1-2 inches, nothing to serious, just like it to sit up a little more. i am not trying to squeeze in bigger tires or anything like that.
