I was just here at my computer, and all the sudden my nose just starts gushing blood for no reason. Its been doing it for more than five minutes now.

apply pressure for a good 5 mins and it should be stopped by then

don't tilt your head back you'll just choke on the blood.

Happens to me all the time, I have some weak blood vessles that just go at random. The nosebleeds last from 30 seconds to 30 minutes.

it used to happen to me a lot...I think during dry seasons like during the cold midwest winters. Also I think my old allergy medicine caused it b/c it dried my nose up and possibly thinned my blood. I wouldn't worry about it, just keep sitting at your computer and posting on ATOT, you can clean it up later or someone will eventually find you if you pass out.

Its stopped for now, some of the blood was extremely thin, like water, but some of it was extremely thick. Now I gotta clean up this mess. I havent had a nose bleed in 7 or 8 years. Never had one that lasted over 5 minutes.

No more than about 5 minutes. Ive had my experience with them. The vast majority were no more than a 2-3 minutes. I know cuz I would look at the clock in the middle of the night as a little kid to time how long I'd apply pressure.

seriously though, on the topic of nosebleeds:
A few years back I was taking Accutane for my acne. One if its approximately 2456796768 side effects is chronic nose bleeds. One night I was staying at a friend's house in a completely dark basement bedroom when I felt something dripping from my nose. I thought it was just snot at first, so I just rubbed it with my arm/hand and laid back down. Well it kept on coming, so I figured at that point it must be a nosebleed. I couldn't remember where the light switch was so I had to paw around the walls looking for it...about 3 minutes (and a dozen bloody handprints)later, I found it. When I flipped on the light I saw the aftermath of my bloody scramble for the switch. There was blood all over the pillow, my arm, the sheets, as well as the aforementioned prints all over the walls--it looked just like a murder scene.

i've had one last for almost 30 minutes. that was seriously not fun at all. started to freak me out after about 20 min of gushing and so signs of stopping.

I used to get them all the time when I was a kid. Haven't had one for almost four years now, I think.

They used to last about 5-10 minutes... just clamp your nose with a tissue and lie down, if you can.
