how long do drug test takes to go through?

Just did a drug test for a job. Forgot to asks how long it usually takes to get a response. Anyone know? I heard two weeks.

we get a response within 24 hours...often they even give the results within an hour

I had to take a hair test, and found out the results within a week if memory serves me correctly.

I have to get tested 4 times a year for work (gubmint), and the results are always back within a day.

the lab tech i work with usually gets the results the same day

It depends on the type of test.

^^ depends on the type, and where they send it. if the labs are busy...it will take longer. two weeks is excessive though, i'd give them a call if you feel comfortable doing that

I've never seen a test take more than a few days.

I have seen HR be so incompetent as to allow someone who failed to get four days into the job before firing.

The one I took for my current job was a matter of 5 mins or so. I took the test and they gave me the results and sent them to my employeer. It was very quick

Most places make an offer for employment contingent upon passing the drug test. Meaning you have the job so long as you pass.
