How long do carrots stay good for/how do you know when they're going bad?

Bought some baby carrots 3-4 weeks ago. They look fine and taste fine. Not as crunchy as they used to be. Am I gonna die?

so if they are not yet slimey and taste ok, you are good to go

I just wash them off and eat away. when they don't snap is when i deem them unworthy of consumption.

yeah they last awhile if you don't put them in the crisper. I buy the big bags from Sam's and they keep for awhile in the fridge door.
