Just curious...

T41 2379DJU - 6 Cell

First Used Date: 4/2004
Cycle Count: 236
Full Charge Capacity: 27.16
Design Capacity: 47.52

I get ~ 1.5 hours on a charge (compared to the 4-4.5 i got when the battery was new). Not bad for bring 2 years old.

I have my work laptop for 1.5 yrs, and it still gets about the same charge as the day I got it

of course most of the time it's plugged in and the battery is fully charged

After about 2 years, I just today ordered a replacement for mine. I only get about half an hour on a charge these days. Yikes!

I get about 1 hour on my 2.5 year old t40 battery (original life 4 hours). I think the cycle count is around 400. I get about 5 hours on my extended battery that is also 2.5 years old (original life 7 hours). The cycle count on the extended battery is less then 100.

But what good is it if you're not connected to the intrawebs?

Agreed.

I would only turn off WiFi on the laptop if I'm watching a DVD or two.

Because I don't really get a connection when I'm 10,000-20,000 feet in the air on an airplane. However, I did find a connection that high 1 time.

Starting this year they will have wireless on some airplanes.

Didnt the flight attendents tell you to turn off all devices with wifi technology? ;)

It's been a year and a half for me, and I still get 2 1/2 hours with the wireless on. So I'd say I'm doing pretty well.

Edit: Just used a program to check out how my battery is actually doing. It is at 95% of the capacity it had when it left the factory and I've had this for 18 months so I am very very happy. At this rate, I won't need a new battery until I get a new computer (another 18-24 months)
