Yes, I can google and find that 9 nine days is usually the max, but I'm looking for people on here who've cut out caffeine and what happened.

I cut it out about a week ago and now get a small, but annoying headache starting around 9 am and lasting til 6 pm. Happens every day since I cut out the mountain dews.

About two weeks for the headaches to subside for me. I was drinking 1-3 liters of soda a day, and quit drinking all caffiene and carbonated beverages (as per doctors orders) three weeks ago. I'm still tired everyday, but I'm not sure if that is caused by the lack of stimulants or my liver (scarring).

The good news is that cutting out the caffiene & carbonated beverages as well taking TriCor has cut down my triglycerides from 401 to 250 in about 3 weeks.

I didn't consciously give up caffine. I noticed one day that I'd not had any caffinated beverages in a couple months. Never had withdrawls...now I like coffee too much to give it up. :) Even when I quit smoking, I didn't notice any phyisical withdrawl but the mental addiction was a real bitch.

I don't remember having any withdrawal. I switched from a mainly soda diet to all water and didn't really feel any different, except my teeth aren't as sensitive.

I had no idea there was such a thing. It makes sense, just wierd to think about. I lost interest in drinking sodas when i was a kid and now I only drink coke if i'm eating pizza because water and pizza sounds gross.

The easiest way to do it is when you have a cold. You'll feel like crap anyway, so just don't drink any caffeine while you're sick and you'll be over both at about the same time.

About a week, but I only though it was bad for the first two-three days. After that it's a mild headache or maybe some sluggishness, but not the severe jonesing.

the abundance of adenosine when caffeine is cut off creates extraneous blood flow to your head

upon further research, adenosine helps promote sleep. that's why i've been sleeping better..

Same here, but I really do need to cut back. I average about 64 oz. of coffee every day.

When I was a kid I had about 8 cans of soda a day...mostly Mountain Dew. The peak was in high school where I would pretty much have one on me at all times.

Went to college and went cold turkey. First 2-3 days I was tired and couldn't sleep very well but after that I was fine. Now I don't even like soda anymore and find the concept disgusting(look at places like subway..you can see the bags of sugar).

I made myself like the taste of coffee this summer so i couldstart my job...I found I wasn't sleeping as well so I quit that too.

Caffeine is no good.
