How long did it take you to get your Comptia A+?

Roughly how long did it take you to study and pass your Comptia A+ certification? How many days and how many hours per day? I am more interested in people who did it independently? But dont hesitate to let us know if you went to an institute? I am not certified yet but guessing it would take me around 4 months studying an average of 4-6 hours a day.

I did it in about 3 months of going to a 2 hour class 4 days a week and some homework each night. Its not terribly difficult, but worth it once its done.

BTW dont listen to these people who will tell you its not worth the effort, anything like that looks good on your resume.

I am 23 now and got it when I was 16. I wasn't terribly smart, and the test isn't by far difficult. Just do some reading and go from there. If you have trouble comprehending books, consider a class at your local community college. However, I am one of the naysayers that thinks it is worthless, but I never pursued a job in IT, so I can't say too much.
