Iam a Christian, and I have been struggling with lusting be it in person or in pictures/movies. I've found that the best method is to just act like a Women's gorgeous behind or rack isnt there and completely ignore it, also when it comes to p0rn and what not, I find the best method is to just keep busy at all time, and not actually surf the net, usually when i get bored i go look at p0rn or something. ---Now heres my question, how is a man supposed to contain himself sexually? if sex before marriage is wrong, masturbation is wrong, then there is no way for a man to relieve himself without sinning? The build up of sexual tension is so strong, that to relieve it is like a natural process just like using the bathroom or something. I think God intended us to all have wives at age 16 or so..so we wouldnt have theese problems in our later years.

You may disagree, but I don't believe it's the thoughts that get you in trouble - it's the actions. Going out of your way to get pron, spending too much time feeding the desire, etc.

Listen, if God wants to send me to hell for whacking off, then I don't WANT to go to Heaven.

Have you thought about this one? Get ready for it, because it's a real bombshell, but maybe...just maybe...it's NOT a sin.

masturbate. you'll feel a lot better. seriously though, if you don't release that sexual tention somehow it will release itself in the form of violence.

One good answer to this and all questions regarding self-discipline (religious or otherwise) is to get involved with an accountability group. Find people you can trust who will hold you to your commitments and goals - then be honest with them, especially when you fail.

So..you believe that fantascizing about a women is not a sin? that brings on another question, you see...when I approach women at the grocery store, book store, etc. the approach is usually based 100% on sexual attraction. I usually feel my blood rushing, heart racing faster and will approach...is this wrong? because I couldnt possibly imagine finding a female any other way.

Wasn't there a line about he who looks upon a woman wantingly has already comitted it in his mind? I can't remember exactly how it goes. Might have been more related to adultery.

What kind of twisted religion views natural instincts that have ensured the continuation of life for 3.5 billion years as wrong?

jeez, you must have grown up in a uber religious household. how else are you supposed to find a mate? usually when people marry they are both mentally AND physically attracted to each other. how else would it work?

No, it's not. Your a human and a male with biological desires. Indoctrination isn't going to supress biology.

If you believe it's a sin, then you should find a way to distract yourself from those thoughts. Giving time and energy to them is what you have control over.
