sushi sucks when its not fresh. if you put it in the fridge the rice stiffens and the sushi loses alot of its appeal.

eat it as soon as u can.

    yup

I'd only be concerned if there's mayonnaise in it.

To me, "take out sushi" is never good. :)

But, hey, some people here take sushi out of the trash can and think it's good.

To anwer you, yeah, one day is probably ok.

I was going to get take out around 1pm and then eat it around 8pm all the while being kept cold.

Any food should be kept in the fridge if you are not going to eat it. Not sure if it is going to taste very good, (like the other people here have already mentioned here) the rice will go south.

This reminds me, there is a new sushi place that just opened up right down the road from my house. I need to check it out.

Yea it would be just fine. I actually like the cool tangy taste of refrigerated sushi rice although the fish won't be as tasty. You won't get much bacterial growth within the fish in the refrigerator at 4 C. At least not enough to kill you. If you are paranoid, just get sushi without raw fish.
