How long can lettuce be considered good?

If I were to make a big bowl of caesar salad (1 1/2 Romaine hearts + dressing + parmesan + croutons), and leave it in my fridge, how long could I consider it safe for consumption? I can normally eat it within three or four days, but by the beginning of the fourth day, the lettuce seems to be curling a bit (some brown spots, etc). Should I be worried about this, or can I just generally plan on three days time, four the absolute, for consumption?

You can wait that long, if it's refrigerated. The lettuce going brown is a good sign that you should eat it, though. :)
