How long can a TV-Antenna cable be before the quality noticeably decreases?

We do have cable at home but no connector in my room. So either I have to get one, about $300, or I can just get a long cable from the living room.

If the signal isn't quite what you hoped for, you can try buying a cable signal booster at Radioshack or somewhere like that.

It shouldnt cost that much to get a connector in your room. Just call your cable company and see if they can install one for you or call a local handyman

if it is degrading from the length you can get a signal booster for the line to your room that will take care of the problem. you can probably still get them at radio shack. did this a few years ago for a bachelor pad we had and the boosters were pretty cheap if i remember correctly.

Standard RG-6 should go for 100' without worrying about cable degredation. Over that, get an amplifier.
