How long can a pack of Cracker Jack last?

I picked up 2 packs of Cracker Jacks from a friend's old house basement. The expiration dates on it says Sept 1993. I'm leaving it at work for fun and see if people would eat it. I mark out the dates with a sharpie.

Can people die from eating it?
