How long before we see Mini-ITX boards for Zacate APUs?

Any ideas?

This is what I am dreaming of this year...

Micro-ITX mobo with USB3.0 and other goodies for a Zacate A-350 APU.
Throw in a 64GB SSD, about 4GB of RAM, and a Micro-ITX case.

You got yourself one small, inexpensive, fast HTPC.

There is mini ITX and micro ATX. I don't know what this "micro ITX" thing is.

See this thread.

I don't know when they will be available, but they are obviously working on them. HP has already been selling the Zacate notebook, though I think they jumped the gun. They were originally going to start selling them in February. I think the actual mini ITX motherboards will start trickling into retailers in the next few months. So, your "I am dreaming of this year" should be viable.

Very cool!

FYI: Gigabyte board for AMD zacate came up today on newegg
Oooh. Very nice!

Thinking HTPC here, my current micro-ATX with a BE-2400 is decent, and it runs fine, but if I could get a smaller, cooler-running form factor, it would be better. (My current micro-ATX case has two 40mm fans in the back, and it sounds like a white-noise generator.)

Anyone have some ideas for nice mini-ITX cases with PSUs? Preferably with built-in slimline Blu-Ray SATA drives?

Waitasec, I can only find two mini-ITX cases on Newegg, and they are $250+ each. WTF? Is there a way to search for mini-ITX? I searched HTPC cases, then for 1 expansion slot.

There are a lot of mini ITX cases on Newegg, but they're all in the normal case section and not in the HTPC case section.

Just go to

Cases -> Computer Cases -> Type -> Mini ITX Desktop, Mini ITX Tower, Mini ITX Test Bench?

Personally, I own an Antec ISK300-65 and got the ATOM board I purchased installed successfully on the first try. You need to be real careful about knowing the dimensions the case supports and any expansion cards you will want to put in. The first TV Tuner card I bought wasn't low profile and did not fit so I had to buy another one.

MSI board is listed at NCIX
http://www.ncixus.com/products/58782...7;2FMicroStar/

All of these but the ASROCK are quite a bit more than I was expecting.

Asrock board is a great price agreed. I don't like the MSI board, I really don't see the need for a VGA port, at least from my point of view, I got a lot of DVI to VGA adapters if the need arises. But the lack of DVI on the MSI motherboard puts me off from that one. If the Fit-pc3 comes at the right price range, I'll probably go with that setup, Won't have to worry about a nice case or good PSU, it seems much too expensive to get a nice bare minimum mini-itx case. And the picopsu is a little pricey too, albeit very cool device. So I hope we see a mini-itx Fusion board with onboard power(DC input) soon.

Surely as soon as more boards hit market, we'll see these prices drift down.
