How long before we can get surond sound in vista 64bit?

Just curios, scince I cant get audio to work from my onbord audio on my DS3 bord with my Logetec Z-5500 speakers ( Suround or Stereo).

Has anyone seen a audio card that is out or coming out that will work.

I read that you can get stero out of the x-fi cards but no suound, I tought about buying one but if they cant make it work and need a new card to do it i dont want to wast my money on it.

Right now I can only get audio threw a USB head set.
 
I miss being able to set the mode on my XFi card. I actually found it rather useful. 🙁 But oh well. Atleast the sound works I guess.
 
Yea I hear you can get sound from them and that is a plus over what I have just dont want to spend the xtra cash if there was somthing new on the close horizion ,that gave surond sound.
