You guys are really something special....

Eventually someone will blow up a city here with a nuclear bomb, given the chance. It won't be the end of this country though.. I mean look at what happened in Japan, they've rebuilt those cities. I'd imagine it's only a matter of time before the technology gets wide spread enough that nearly everyone has their own nukes. Isn't that clear enough?

I'd also say that invading 3rd world nations and beating up on 3rd rate armies won't stop it from happening.

dude i'm sick of haven't of having our armies do the work to fight for the country and with nukes and whatnot. I say we either have a pokemon card battle or a boxing match between bush and saddam. just get it over with

How about a jello wrestling match between an appointed female contestant for each side?

Well as technology makes things better/cheaper/faster, something nasty is bound to happen. Nuclear? Don't know about that, as it is hard to make the components in your kitchen, but bio weapons have serious potential. I can imagine some idiot making something so virulent that it spreads through a whole population and is fatal and incurable. Worse than a nuke.

Well if any country launches nukes at the US or it's allies, then the US will launch so many nukes that the country that launched them in the first place would be a parking lot.

important clarification on michaelh20's post... it's not the technology, it's the raw materials, namely enriched uranium and plutonium... hell, any college physics or applied / engineering physics college graduate could build a nuke if given the necessary raw materials...

I feel that within 5 years we will witness the use of a nuclear weapon in a terrorist attack. I don't see the use of a tactical nuclear weapon by the U.S. under ANY circumstances.

A small scale WMD could be carried out by a single individual today, all they need is the evening news to find out how to do it.

[edit] Well, I guess its already been decided, the world will end on 2060 says Sir Isaac Newton:
