I have neither the time, nor the inclination to wait in line to try and save 50 bucks. I don't plan my shopping or buying habits around release dates or when the best deals are, I just don't have the patience for that type of thing.

Otherwise online.

Same here. Might try and convince my dad to wait with me, as he wants a 42in LCD too.

Actually I changed my mind and ordered this 32" LCD online today

Ross, just curious....why did you settle for a Sceptre? The contrast ratio is a bit lacking, and I haven't heard too many good things on AVS about them....

The only place I'm planning on going to is Staples (and I won't be up early to do it.) The Staples near my house is kind of off by itself with no major shopping centers nearby. So it won't have any crowds. I'm not even going to begin to try going to the main shopping areas around here.

If things aren't too crowded I might venture over to Best Buy in the afternoon to check out a few smaller gifts.

I don't think I "settled". This will be our bedroom TV which we might watch a whopping 30 minutes a day connected via coax cable.

If I'm not satisfied with it, I'll return it.

Gotcha. Settled was probably not the best word...I was just curious why you went with the Sceptre... :)

For that application it should be more than adequate!

:)

Trust me I would love to buy your same LCD but that's a little overkill for a secondary bedroom TV. I would still buy it though if the price was right around $650 shipped ;)

i can't believe there are 6 people who voted for 8+ hours early. I think that's kind of excessive to save a bit of money. Waiting that long for the PS3, I can understand.

I'm not going anywhere early on Friday. I used to do that, but I don't find it worth it anymore. That either means I'm making too much money or the sales aren't what they used to be. :)

Whatever money I would save is far outweighed by the sheer horror created by the swarming crowds of idiots ot shopping on Black friday, so I'll be staying home.

I'm getting up early to take pictures of the animals that will be camped outside of the stores before they open.

I'm sleeping in. I thought about going to Costco for the Vizio 42" plasma but I would only save about $200. Not worth it. My time and sanity is worth far more than measly $200.

not shopping ftw!
I'll do a bit of consulting work early, then cards, movies and more dinner with family.

I need to do a return/rebuy for the two GPS units I purchased..plus I have to be at work at ~8:30am, so i'll probably hit the stores when they open.

Poor lonely bastards have no one to spend Thanksgiving with but each other.
