How long after you cancel your cable service until it's actually cancelled?

Well if you prepaid for it, it will work till the end of the period you paid for. If you didn't prepay for it, it should me immediate.

Not always. Some networks have to send someone out to physically disconnect the cable. There was a story of a guy who stopped paying, cancelled his cable, and still had it for years...

He then sued the cable company for making him and his family fat. 😛

Yep. As long as the bill stops coming, don't worry about it. Disconnects are not a priority, especially for some of the techs they get assigned to. They either don't get done and blown off repeatedly, or they just completed on paper. Not on the pole.

So.....yeah, as long your bill doesn't keep coming....enjoy.

billing wise, it's same day... as for service out of the wall... it definitely varies by laziness.
