Yup...run then eat. If you are famished, grab a SMALL snack (ie. granola bar), wait 30 min. then head out. About 30 min every other day is how much I run. On hard days, I run a bit less. On easy days, a bit longer. This keeps me in good shape but won't turn me in to some world class runner.
Once, I made the mistake of eating a bowl of cereal before I ran. I was starving so I had to eat it. I waited 30 min. but that cereal was sloshing in my stomach every step of my run. By the end, I wanted to puke. I've found that running and then eating controls my hunger. I might be fairly hungry before I run, but afterwards I'm hardly hungry at all. When I do eat, it is a smaller portion than I would have eaten before running...thus, keeping the spare tire off. Anyone else experience this??
