I don't even think NaDa is the fastest. Not to mention that most of demo footage is him spamming the same button at least 3 times to increase his numbers. Watch them play in actual tournaments and you'll see how fast they actually move (ridiculously fast, but less pointless spamming).

They might not live long enough to develop arthritis.

Either Al Gore will drown him with global warming, or The North will finally return to their own belief in Manifest Destiny.

Damn youth. Those kids do have skills though.

I don't get it...what are they doing that requires them to type/move so fast? I mean, they're flying away at keyboard and mouse but its like nothing is happening on the screen...

basically, they are spamming hotkeys...

theoretically, spamming the keys will allow them to queue up buildings, units, etc... it also will select the troops, and more.

IN RTS there is something call Micro managing which is basically controlling individual units.

I'm betting that if you slowed down that video and accounted for their actions, 90% of their keypresses would be pointless spam.

It's mostly pointless spam.

There are people with APM at like 500+ though. It's kinda fucked up and shit tons of spam.

Realistically speaking you need only 200APM tops.

A lot of the stuff they do is borderline dumbassery.

It's pointless to compete for #1 position in any online game though nowadays. Too many people will just play that one game all their life to be the best...

Guys, the point of spamming the same hotkeys is to keep your pace up to speed.

For a lot of parts of the match, you can get away with maybe less than 100 APM. However, some intense battles may require 300 or so in order to properly micro everything. It would be difficult to smoothly transition from 100 to 300 APM in time. It's easier to simply maintain a high APM throughout the match, so that both your mind and fingers are in a state of constant readiness and alertness.

That said, Starcraft 2, the sequel to the game shown in the video, doesn't require nearly as high of an APM score as it's predecessor. The computer handles a lot of things for you.

Yeah this is what I heard also..

It does make sense though.
I am guessing starcraft 2 won't be as popular as in Korea?

Yikes! That is why I'm currently enjoying the single player campaign of Starcraft II right now, rather than getting my ass kicked online!

I never enjoyed RTS games. This is probably a reason why. I don't see the fun in it

This...I enjoyed RTS's back when they were the original C&C but the games today are so broad it is hard to complete if you don't play everyday!

So this is why I fail at every RTS I try online. I don't bind shit, and go through the menus at a slow pace.
