How late does UPS deliver?

I have an important package on the way (laptop) and it was scheduled to be delivered today. I am not going to be home (and neither is my family) for the rest of the week and only god knows where they will leave the package for pickup. FedEx leaves it in a station that is about 25-30 mins drive away (even though I live in a city that is the center of business in the Detroit area). Its already 5:20, any chance it will be delivered today? Since it was scheduled to be delivered today, can I yell at them for not delivering?

PS. I can't believe I wasted a whole day waiting for it, I feel like such a fool.

EDIT - Just got it. I went outside for some gardening and noticed the UPS truck with the nice UPS lady delivering a package to my neighbors. I finally have it and I am charging it now 🙂 I know nobody cares but I am ecstatic.

 

If it says it's "Out For Delivery" it'll be delivered today. I've had UPS packages delivered to my place as late as 6:30 p.m.

Yep, it says out for delivery since 7AM. I hope its today, I had set aside the whole day to tweak and test it before I start using it. Iif it comes in the next hour or so, I may be able to pull it off.

I have a buddy who used to drive for UPS and he said at X-mas as late as 9 PM he would deliver.
