HOW IS your office condition? Do you work in a cube, room, basement or washroom?

I am quiet fortunate as a student..get to work in a private office with 2 walls, one door and one huge Wall to floor window facing skylight and the lobby 😀 Got that room because we ran out of cubes hehe...

I probably have the crappiest work environment here...can anyone host a 70+MB PowerPoint file - I can give you a virtual tour. It's a WWII era warehouse converted to offices.

i have a cube , but we also have a "lab" where i do 50-90% of my work. the lab consists of 3 workbenches and 50+ computers on racks (not computer racks, like big shelf thingys, our computers are normal desktops, not the kind of servers that go in server racks)

u mean 140% of work altogether lol??

um, like from half to 9 out of 10 hours at work i spend in the lab vs. in my cube in the cube farm

Small company with three rooms in the office. The boss' office, the tech room, and then the big room that's the size of the other two combined. My desk, the graphics designers' desk, and the technician's desks are all in this room. Plenty of space, though, and we've got a nice view, although our backs unfortunately face away from the window. We'd probably sit and watch the squirrels all day if we faced the windows.

I have a cube in a quad (one huge cube with 2 extra walls splitting it into 4), but I'm almost never there. I'm usually in the lab or other offices. Just go back every couple hours to check email and stuff.

Whats the temp there in the summer?

i work in a drycleaning plant. in the summer the building, with hundreds of feet of steam pipe/hose is terrible. With the AC on the temp is about 2-3F lower than the outside temp at best, and its been 95-100F outside lately; but the humidity is even higher than outdoors :/

Oh but were lucky, some plants havent got an AC at all, the temp can be as high as 120F in those places. Not cool.

I get to spend my days in either my cube, or in conference rooms, about 50-50 each day.
But, I have a corner cube, and it is by the window, so it is not so bad.

ti share my office with 2 other people. its approximately 15x15 with one entrance and one exit. its usually pretty messy but i try my best to clean up but it doesnt ever seem to matter. we just got a new guy and he seems pretty neat, but the guy that has been there is a total slob. his idea of cleaning up is moving crap from the top of the table to the bottom. we usually have xtra computer parts, boxes, and junk that people dont want in there office in our area. and the AC sucks ass in that area. there are usually a minimum of 6 computers running at all times and sometimes up to 12. acckkkk.

sorry for the rant. liquor is kicking in. 🙂

i share a room with a dozen other guys about 10% of the time. about 25% of the time my office is my truck, the rest of the time my office is a telephone pole.

I'm in a cube that I wouldn't call a cube. Actually, I just have dividers. One foot over my desk, and that's it.

I work in a middle school and currently have a private office. I may end up losing it to the guidance counselors and moving to the computer lab this fall though. Either is fine by me since I am not in it all that much anyway.

I got bumped up to my own office last year. It's an interior office, but at least it's got a door and it's all mine. Ironically, my office is actually smaller than my cube was (the cube I was in previously was huge and quite nice really.) But having a door is sweet. Total privacy. Don't have to lower your voice on the phone for personal conversations. No need for headphones for music and/or TV.

A couple departments right next to me are being moved and there's going to be more some more shuffling in the coming months. I'm hoping I'll be able to move up again to one of the highly coveted window offices.

I share 2 rooms with 2 other guys. I'm IT, we have computers everywhere in both rooms ranging from laptops to tablets. Speaking of tablets, why do some people who could never possibly use the functions of a tablet insist on having a tablet PC?
