Few people know about the McLaren's tendency to overheat in city traffic, horrid fuel mileage, ground clearance that is too low, miserable ride, etc. There are many cars that performance-wise are competitive at a fraction of the cost (Modified production cars, HMS Venoms, etc.) The McLaren's are treasure more for collectibility than any real performance advantage. (though for a time, it was the fastest production car in the world.)

The other advantage this car has to it is no US DOT, Bolt on some CAT's and some DOT approved safty equip, that thing will come down in power fast.
