How is Yahoo IM's file transfer supposed to work?

I'm trying to use it through Trillian and it says I have a file and it links me to a IP address. Only thing is the address is dead. Is this how it's supposed to work?
 
Yahoo is a piece of crap anyways. Trying to use it through trillian just compounds things. AIM direct connect never works for me through trillian.
 
Yea, well direct connect broke when they updated AIM and Trillian still hasn't fixed it. :| But that's another story.
