How is windows 7 hardware support?

I just go the msdn thing and am reading around to check out driver support.

Should I be looking at xp or vista drivers for the instances where there are no windows 7 drivers yet?

Also. A lot of my apps are xp apps. Will they run in compatibity mode?

Generally for drivers, you should look for vista versions. Apps should run fine unless its an odd one then maybe need the compatibility mode

thanks man. Still searchign to see what drivers I can find and stuff.

How buggy is the thing or is the RTM pretty stable?

RTM is very stable. I have found no hardware in my system that won't run. XP Compatibility mode is necessary for a few programs, but not hardware. Win 7's own drivers have them covered thru an upgrade from Vista.
