Making a bad movie takes the combined efforts of many talentless hacks, so I don't think it's fair to give Boll sole credit for his movies. I mean, each one must have really bad writers and editors as well, right?

From what I understand, a loophole in German law was allowing certain investors to hide their money in his films. Thankfully, that loophole has been closed.

bloodrayne is already being rated? by who? and 2005? its out? lol
and yes, i want to see what Uwe Bowl can do with a large budget, an excellent script, and talented actors/actresses, as well as a great special effects team and the like.
but that likely wont happen as he constantly signs onto bad scripts, so can't effectively prove his skills, if he even has any.
too bad the only people willing to tackle videogame movies are those that can't write worth a damn and can't direct worth a damn.
only if spielburg, michael bay (great action , or other directors that often get handed big budgets.

a half-life (series) movie would kickass if done properly.

Whenever I see the Bloodrayne commercial and it goes "Academy Award winner, Ben Kingsley", I just cringe, thinking, yeah thats going to make a difference. Even the trailer is terrible. I would expect the movie to be about like the trailer only 2 hours long.
