How is UConn still in the top 10?

They drop 2 in a row. One to a crappy Notre Dame team, one to Pitt. Well, I already know the answer. There are a ton of sportswriters that reside in or around Conneticut (most of which work for ESPN, bristol conn.)

UConn=always over-rated.

I'm still trying to figure out how UK is still in the Top 10. They've lost twice to Georgia (a team barely above .500) and most of their recent wins have been on them hitting a last-second shot or the other team missing a last-second shot. And their competition hasn't been that tough lately, either.

At least Louisville can look to the injuries to its two star players to explain their recent loss of 3 of the last 4 games. I think that explains why they only dropped 2 spots to #11.

If that's the case, how come the UConn Women are still at #2? Shouldn't they be #1 since they beat Tennessee, the then #1 team in the country?

I'm sure they're still in the top-10 because both losses were on the road, and close games against good teams. Come tourney time, the Huskies will be in the final four, and that you can take to the bank.

The women's, not too sure about the men's team. They got beat by an average ACC team

this is what caused the BCS mess, you dont necessarily just drop a team after they lose. If the number 1 team loses a couple games, but you still think they're the best in the country, what's wrong with keeping them at number 1?

I wouldn't call this years ND team a very good team. Fact is, UConn has lost a total of 5 games, the most out of any in the top 10. Granted, another reason might be because their aren't that many teams that could step up and replace them. I'd say maybe Wisconsin, but the Big 10 is terrible this year.

I'll take your UConn Final Four prediction to the bank. They seem like a team built for tourney play, but it depends on where they are seeded.

because talent-wise, they are clearly the top team in the country. No one can match the talent (not even Duke) on this year's UConn team. They just seem to not show up for some games though this year for whatever reason. I guess we'll find out come tourney time.
