I have that bug again, thinking of building a new system. It has been two years and I have not kept up to date with whats up. I will have a grand to spend as soon as the house is finished. If this buys the latest and greatest great if not oh well I still have to stay under 1000 bucks. This is a game Machine

ABIT th7-11 raid with a 1.9 P4
512 rambus 800
MSI TI 4400 128mb
w. d. 800JB-ooetao gb hd
tdk burner
DVD ?
creative SB! live series
some speakers from wal-mart 3.1
ViewSonic A70 1024 X 1280 pixals
All running on Win XP pro

Definitly time to upgrade. There is a system here that looks good for gaming. Need to remove some items to get under a grand though.

I wouldn't hold my breath for those boards. They are just getting Nforce3 250 boards to market. I'm sure it will be delayed and the performance gains aren't going to be stellar. I would go for an Athlon 64 3200+, 512MB PC3200, MSI K8T Neo or Nforce3 250 motherboard and ATI 9800 Pro video card. If you need a new case and power supply you could pick all this up for under $1G.
