A friend of mine has the HS73; recently bought it at Best Buy for $550. The picture is clear but it does have a slight ghosting problem. It has a fairly easy to use set of controls with an auto set feature for some choices. It doesn't have DVI if that is important to you, but seems to work ok on analog. Personally, I don't like that that to get the best picture, it is recommended to run native resolution at 1280x1024, since that is too small for my taste. However, setting individual items bigger in display properties helps. Personally, I still prefer my 19" Diamondtron CRT picture, although, sitting on the desk, the HS73 looks real good.

I'm typing this on my Sony HS73 17" LCD.

I really like it, and with the $50 rebate that Sony has now, it makes a pretty good deal imo.
I got it at Staples for $549 - $50 coupon - $40 gift cert - $50 rebate = $409
Really good deal compared to other 17" LCDs out there...

It doesn't have DVI, but from what I've read, most people cannot tell the difference between a LCD hooked up with analog or one using DVI.

Picture is sharp and very clear and with the 20ms response time, it makes for a pretty good gaming LCD too.

All of my monitors in the past have been Sony's, including a monster 21" Trinitron CRT, and I have to say that I have been pleased with the quality of their products.

Just my .02....
