First off I have checked KBB values but I wanted other opinions.

I currently drive a 5.0 mustang and want something cheap to drive/maintain while I fix it up/rebuild the motor/tranny.

Car is

1995 Honda Civic EX 2 Dr. Coupe 5 Speed.
185k - Not sure this is acurate (It may be higher or lower idk)
PW, PL, Power Sunroof, 4 Wheel disc brakes.
Kenwood CD Player (Pioneer speakers) - 2x 12" Alpine Subs - 600 Watt bazooka Amp
Enkei 18" wheels (5 wheels total, spare is a 18" Enkei matching the others) W/ Adjustable Coilovers
Projector Headlights (Not pictured, but NIB Like these.)
Altezza Taillights (Not pictures, but NIB Not the exact model but they look similar)
Has a new timing belt, Cap and Rotor Button, New Plugs & wires, Air filter etc.... All the regular mant. things.

His asking price for me is $3750 Other people he is asking $4500 for it. Is this a good price for this car? Im not familiar with Honda's I just know they are supposed to be reliable and good on gas.

Looks to be in decent shape and fully loaded. Not a bad price either.

I don't like the wheels... too big for the car. I would sell them and pocket the cash.

Should be ok, but i'd be weary of teh suspension, especially with that milage and since it was lowered. You looking at new bushings all the way around, and new shocks. I don't particulaly like coilovers, so i'd ditch those for some standard softsport or o.e. sport springs from either H&R or Neuspeed. Bilstein for the shocks if you don't want adjustable shocks.

Ditch the wheels, get some 15s.

And please if you get the car, plese please de-rice it. Or ask him to give you all of the original lights etc. Make sure you get him to throw in a bottle of blinker fluid! ;)

Did he just change the timing belt at 185K? What about the clutch life?

Something that also neglected on many cars is the brake fluid (and brakes in general), was that maintained?

If it were me, id get teh car not a bad price, but its already been "fixed" up.

I actually like the wheels. IDK if i like the headlights, i would probally put them in anyway, and the taillights too. IDK about clutch life, timing belt was just changed but it was change before also, he just wanted to do maint. on it when he got it, he has only had it a few months but needs money for his shop.

I'm no honda pricing expert, but the price sounds reasonable.

The problem is that the car has been riced out. Which means, realistically, it's probably been driven fairly hard as well. Also as someone else pointed out, get a carfax history report on it and verify that it's never been in any accidents. Now, it doesn't ALWAYS mean that it's been beaten up - maybe the guy riced it out, drove it like a wuss, and changed the oil every 1500 miles religiously. But... well, it's a red flag.

For the $, you might be able to find a bone stock civic that some little old lady only drove on sundays.

PS my girlfriend has the same car, but a 97, and she drives like a little old lady but her car is beat to hell. She never did anything to take care of it, but just looking at it I'd swear by the way things have worn that it could be a 1982. Hondas may run forever but they sure don't wear well.

I would jump on this if I was offered this deal. Those wheels and his stereo are almost half the price of the car.
It's also an EX.
He's taken very good care of the car. You can tell with the condition of the exterior. You've also said he's changed the belts, etc.

Offer him $3,500 cash and see what he says. Still a good buy for $3,750.

Just check the condition of the clutch and if all is good, buy.

Well he is asking 4500 to everyone else, but he told me 4k, and i got him down to 3750. so tahts bottom dollar.

Clutch is soft feeling compared to my mustang so its hard for me to tell how it is :p, but it seems to catch good, and shifts good. I think it will be fine, if I have to replace it withen a year its not a big deal to me.

Edmunds thinks he wants a little much for the car, but the appraisal doesn't really account for some of the aftermarket stuff on the car.

Decent price assuming the car was taken care of and is mechanically sound.
