How is this possible? Check out this eBay scam

I am browsing eBay and click on a link to an auction and here's where it takes me Text
How do they pull it off?

WARNING! Do not attempt to log in!

Edit: looks like someone too it down

You should put a warning NOT to input any username or password info on the page to which you linked. I had to look twice before noticing the url.

Interestingly, when you enter a username/password on that page, it doesn't redirect you back to the auction - or even to eBay. Anyone who's not an idiot would realize it at that point and change their password.

In an auction title? I thught titles do not support HTML?

No, you click on the auction title and it takes you to the auction page which immediately redirects you to that page. I assume. Post the search query you used and some indication of which auction it is.

maybe he wanted you to put in the information. . .

Again, it's not a plain 'ole email phishing bait. I was browsing eBAY, clicked on an auction and got redirected to the scam site.

That makes more sense

*sigh*

eBay techs should already be aware of that page & taken it down. Bunch of lazy nobodies over there, I guess. Even my small-time web site gives me stats on what outside pages are using images on my server.
