I am a side sleeper. I happen to sleep without being a rigid straight rod. Meaning, my neck bends forward (see the circled image below). Every time I swap sides, I rotate my pillow forwards to match the angle of my relaxed neck bend. If that pillow's radius matches my natural neck bend, then it would be nice to have.

Side sleeping will fuck up your back muscles like the quadratus lumborum.
Yep. Also if you sleep on your right side you can screw your stomach up too.

I learned to sleep on my back and make a "cup" with my arm wrapped around a blanket to rest my head in. That gives the sensation of sleeping on my side while staying on my back.

Yeah, in the area of the 11th and 12 ribs are some super "knotted up" muscles I had to "trigger point massage" myself to feel like I'm not dragging when doing push ups or crunches.

I learned much about anatomy(And lost money).

Started side sleeping as a kid. Eventually got "trapped" in having to sleep on the side to get sleep. Car accident happened 7 or so years ago. Got my first taste crappy physical therapy. Found trigger point dude that allowed me to sleep on my back at last but there are some areas they do not bother with.

I don't seem to have much trouble sleeping in any position short of standing up! (I swear I get half my sleep sitting in "gaming-position" at my PC)

;)

Just an odd FYI…if you side sleep on your left side, be forewarned sleeping like that can cause an increase in aberrant heartbeats…or ventricular fibrillation/v. tach.

Better to side sleep on your right side. Heart is essentially “free floating” in that position and no real irritation being placed on the heart’s nerve conduction system.

So, don't sleep on the right side as it messes up the stomach. Don't sleep on the left side because it messes up your heart. Can't sleep for much on my back because of breathing issues. That means burring my head face down and suffocating myself. Check.

I sleep in pretty much any position other than face down (including standing up). No need for fancy pillows. I buy cheap one and scrunch, roll, crush or twist them as necessary.

Haha, I was going to say this. I'm battling QL/Psoas issues right now. I can't tell if it's because of my sleeping position (which isn't static throughout the night) or from a car accident. This thread is doing me a baron hurty.

Hmmm.... sounds like a bunch of nonsense that would only apply to people with weight problems. (ie: the vast majority of Americans) The ONLY issue I've ever had side-sleeping on EITHER side is that it can make acid-reflux a bit more likely.

And I can't see that pillow being something I would like with the middle cut out that way.... looks uncomfortable and like it would give me a sore neck.
