How is this for Temps??

OK- just built an Intel 915PBL board with 3.4 gig 775 chip with stock Intel hs and fan. It has a gig of Crucial Ballistix, an Asus Extreme x600XT/HTVD and it is sitting inside an Antec Sonata. I added the second fan PULLING air in from the front and across the drives.

As for drives- I have an SATA Maxtor Ultra 16 250 gig, a Pata WD WD800-BB, and a Maxtor 160 Gig all three mounted in the bottom drive cage.

I have been surfing only for the last half hour and formatting a 160 gig partition on the 250 gig drive as well.

I loaded the Intel Desktop Utility and have been watching temps. Before I added the 80 and 160 gig drives- I was running 48 degrees C for the processor and zone 1 and zone 2(whatever those are??) were running 34 degrees C.

Now that I added the 2 Pata drives and surfing and formatting- my temps are 52 degrees C for CPU and 37 Zone 1 and 36 Zone 2. CPU fan speed is 2125 rpm, the rear fan(stock 120 mm) is running 1320 rpm, and the front fan(Antec smartfan 120 MM) is running around 1100 rpm.

How is this for temps?

Thanks,
Chris

Those seem like pretty standard temps. I'm running at 45ºC/33ºC (CPU/Mobo) at the moment. My hard drives temps are 31º and 30º for the WD800 and WD1600 respectively (rig is in sig).

Thanks!!!

I thought I read about some having temps up in the 50's and 60's. Once I get some cash again- I may try changing out the heatsink and fan to a Zalman or TT.
