How Is This Card ???

Are there any other companies who make 6600gt besides MSI??. Ati has Memory/Effective Speed: 256MB DDR/860MHz and 6600 gt has Memory/Effective Speed: 128MB DDR3/1000MHz even though the memory on 6600 is slower that ati but it has higher clock speed ??

Also I dont want to upgrade my card after six months, I hope whatever card I buy should be able to play games for atleast couple of years, does anyone has links which do comparision between ati and 6600gt

I reccomend the MSI because of the software bundle, and look closely at the card, it has heatsinks completely covering the memory, only a few have that. And the 6600GT beats the X700 Pro, regardless of the memory on the X700, check this out. FarCry benchies

Today I installed a Leadtek 6600GT AGP card in a friends computer. I sold him my old Shuttle AK35GT motherboard with 1800+ cpu and 640mb of memory for $60.00. This is an upgrade from his Abit KT7A with Duron 750, 512mb ram and an original Asus GeForce card (first generation GeForce with 32mb ram).

The Leadtek card isn't anything fancy as far as looks go, but Anatech did give it a gold award recently. Installation went smoothly. I also installed Direct x 9.0b. I haven't run any benchmarks on it, but did install the Prince of Persia game that came with the 6600GT and it looks great and runs very smooth.

I think for anyone who wants to keep their old motherboard and cpu, but upgrade their video card this is the card to get.
