What exactly do you mean by "this card sux for this game"? What are you trying to do but can't? What kind of performance are you expecting?

The 7870 will give you high settings at about 30fps. And that's probably with some OC.

I have the Eyefinity 6 versions on 3 a work boxes. Two OC to 1100, one to 1050 on the cores. Can't complain.

The one you linked is just a reference one but as far as a brand, I don't have any issues with Visiontek.

Surprisingly, they are WAY more quiet under load than both my Powercolor Myst and Powercolor Vortex with their "aftermarket" coolers.

I think the problem with asking if your card is good enough to play crysis 3 is that you need to have one of the top cards to play that game. My 7950 at 1080p won't get a constant 60fps at max settings. The game looks beautiful at high settings though and also if you want to turn down some AA and run it at max. If you're good with making minimal sacrifices such as those listed, or running at slightly lower frames, then you shouldn't have trouble with a 7870 (especially after some overclocking). The 650ti is definitely worse than you could do. Also do you have to get it from betbuy? There are much better deals than what you linked.

Ah well if you have to get it from the store then it's still cheaper in a way  My opinion is go for it unless you can find something better. I don't see anything better from bestbuy so what you found seems like a good deal to me.

I was thinking about this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814129229
Its @ BestBUy http://www.bestbuy.com/site/VisionTe...&skuId=5390136

My System:
Motherboard: ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 Processor (CPU): Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800 Power Supply (PSU): CORSAIR GS700

I assume you are stuck getting it at Best Buy because that's where your other card comes from? That's too bad because their price and selection are poor. That Visiontek is the best AMD card they carry, and at $295 it's too much money. You could get a 7950 for that. THIS 660ti would probably be a better option.

Here's a comparison from Guru3D. 660ti does quite well. It doesn't seem to be limited by it's narrower memory bandwidth in Crysis 3.

Edit: Looking at relative performance for AMD cards, it looks like they've got some driver work to do, yet. We can only go by what's in front of us though, and that makes the 660ti the best option in your situation.

He was stuck with Bestbuy. They didn't have anything higher than the 7870 listed and it was ~$300. I had suggested a cheaper Pny card, but he must have preferred the EVGA.

I would try and get one of the 660 Ti cards. Any model should work fine. Don't expect full 60 FPS throughout the game, especially in the first level, but after that you should still be able to pull 30-40fps at high/very high settings.

What is the rest of your computer? If the rest of the computer isn't up to spec, you wouldn't be able to use the video card fully anyway.

I would be happy with 30-40 at high/very high :)

You're good to go. With a 660 Ti/7870, you probably will have to lower settings for the first mission (there's some strange bugs that cause FPS to drop, the rope mainly). Other than that, you should be able to run very high for the rest of the game, and if not that, mostly high and very high mix of settings. I would go with whichever card you can find cheaper, which looks to be the PNY 660 Ti.
