Haven't driven one yet, but seems like a pretty basic car in terms of electronics and gadgets, which is good IMO.

How reliable is it mechanically though?

Good question. . .those exotics generally are expensive/costly to maintain, but the older one's lack of too many bells and whistles seems like it should be relatively simple.

Are you looking at the SRT or the old RTs?

The car's been out for more than a decade and you can't find a car-related website to answer that question? How many people on this computer-related forum do you honestly believe drive a Viper?

I was looking at older RT's, but no way in hell I can insure that beast.

I was looking at the ones at this place.

It's not too bad. A little more than your average car though. Plus with premium gas, argh!

The oil changes cost me an arm and a leg though. :|

they are nice cars.. if you want a loud horrible handling overpowered under supported car.

get a different car if you have that much money, like a c5 or a c6 if your rich.

Poor handling? You sure?

Even if it's a little slower in the turns, the thing has so much damn torque to make up for it. Hell, in everyday driving if you want to have fun you don't need handling but rather torque
