How is the stock e8400 heatsink

It's smaller than the E43xx/E6xxx series heatsink, but I'd say it's probably OK. That's only a max OC of 400Mhz, and you could probably do that with raising the voltage.

It's smaller because the CPU produces less heat than the old 65nm, so it's probably just as good/bad depending on how you view it.

I have it at 3.6GHz, stable and no heat problems.

using arctic silver 5, so if you use the stock thermal paste YMMV

It is tiny like others have said, but these chips run fairly cool so you should get a decent amount of OC headroom. Don't expect to reach 4GHz though (or if you do, at an acceptable temperature).
